Srinagar is very famous and attractive place in India. It is the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. It spread with beautiful Lakes, beautiful valleys, greenery locations, snow grabbed areas and every part of Srinagar seems very beauty and scenic. The city spreads out on both sides of the Jhelum River. The tourists attract at the beautiful lakes and the houseboats on them. Mughal gardens are another attractive place in Srinagar. History of Srinagar hill station:

In the 3rd century BC, hill station was a part of the great Mauryan Empire, in later years this region came under the rule of the Kushans in the 1 st century AD. During Kushans, the place flourished with Buddhism. In the 6th century Ujjain king Vikramaditya ruled Kashmir and later Hindu Kings later the Muslims invaded and ruled it. Some years the part was under the Mughal emperor. After the decline of Mughals Ranjit Singh defeated then kings Pathans and ruled Kashmir.

Climatic Conditions

Due to its high elevation, Srinagar enjoys a temperate but humid subtropical climate. Nevertheless, the climate stays cooler than most regions in India.
